Updated: October 2026
The best buffet in Mussafah, if you are staying inside the area, is Royal Gujrat in Mohammed Bin Zayed City Z19: a Pakistani lunch buffet at AED 39 plus VAT on weekdays, priced on its own website. If your group will drive 30 minutes, the best unlimited meal for the money is Mukbang Shows Restaurant’s halal Korean BBQ on Muroor Road, AED 69 before 6 PM and AED 79 after.
TL;DR
– Best unlimited value: Mukbang Shows Muroor Road, AED 69 before 6 PM, 30 minutes from MBZ City, alcohol-free, not a buffet line
– Best buffet inside Mussafah: Royal Gujrat, MBZ City Z19, AED 39 plus VAT weekday lunch, the cheapest on this page
– Grill plus counter inside Mussafah: Barbeque Nation, Dalma Mall, no price published, call first
– Nearest priced hotel buffet: Horizon Line, Novotel Abu Dhabi Gate, AED 139, 18 minutes
– Voucher buffets in Mussafah: none on Cobone

What is the best buffet in Mussafah right now?
It depends on one question: will you drive? If not, Royal Gujrat is the answer, and it is not close. It is the only restaurant in Mussafah or Mohammed Bin Zayed City that prints a full buffet price list on its own site, and that list starts at AED 35. If you will drive, Mukbang Shows Muroor Road gives you more food per dirham than anything else within half an hour, but it is 30 minutes away and it is not a buffet line.
Those two are the only prices on this page under AED 100 that come from the venue itself. Everything else in Mussafah is either unpriced online or a hotel.
Here is how the four verified options rank, with drive times measured by car on Google Maps on 28 October 2026 from Royal Gujrat’s corner of MBZ City Z19:
- Mukbang Shows Muroor Road — unlimited halal Korean BBQ, AED 69 to 79 plus VAT, 30 minutes
- Royal Gujrat — Pakistani buffet counter, AED 39 to 59 plus VAT, inside the area
- Barbeque Nation, Dalma Mall — live grill at the table plus a counter, price not published, 11 minutes
- Horizon Line, Novotel Abu Dhabi Gate — hotel dinner buffet, AED 139, 18 minutes
Three more names come up when you search for a buffet around Shabiya, and none of them publishes a price. They are covered further down, with the honest advice to phone first.
Why does Mukbang Shows Muroor Road rank first?
Because it is the only option on this page that is unlimited, under AED 80, open every day and alcohol-free at the same time. The Gangnam set is AED 69 per person from 1 PM to 6 PM and AED 79 after 6 PM, for unlimited rounds of 7 kinds of halal BBQ (beef, chicken and seafood), 8 banchan with refills, soup of the day and steamed rice. You order round after round to a grill set into the table and cook it yourself, and the meat keeps coming until you stop.
The higher tiers add more. Daegu is AED 89 all day and adds unlimited Korean fried chicken. Jeju is AED 99 and adds the signature seafood boil. Bukchon Hanok is AED 129, the same price at every branch, and includes both. Every price excludes 5% VAT and comes from the live menu at mukbangshow.ae/restaurant-menu/. The restaurant is 100% halal, the BBQ is beef, chicken and seafood only, and no alcohol is served.

The honest limitation, and it is a big one. Mukbang Shows is not in Mussafah. The nearest branch is at 547 Sultan Bin Zayed The First Street (Muroor Road), across from Emirates Grand Market in Al Danah, which is 30 minutes and 31.8 km from MBZ City Z19 via the E22 (a toll route) or 32 minutes without tolls, and 28 minutes from Dalma Mall. Public transport takes over an hour either way.
It is also not a buffet line: there is no counter, no biryani station and no dessert table. There is a minimum of two people, a AED 60 charge for food you order and leave, and the AED 69 price is a 1 PM to 6 PM price that becomes AED 79 after 6 PM.
On raw price it loses to Royal Gujrat. AED 39 is AED 39. If what your family wants is a wide Pakistani spread laid out and ready, Royal Gujrat is the better pick and it is already in the neighbourhood.
Phone +971-50-158-9433 for Muroor Road. The Electra Street branch, behind Sun and Sand Sports on Zayed The First Street, runs the same prices a few minutes away. For the full tier-by-tier breakdown, see what unlimited Korean BBQ really costs in Abu Dhabi.
Is Royal Gujrat the best buffet actually inside Mussafah?
Yes, and by our reading it is the only one in Mussafah or MBZ City with a published price list. Royal Gujrat Restaurant & Sweets sits on Al Anwar Street in Mohammed Bin Zayed City Z19, on the Shabiya side of Mussafah (Zomato files it under Mussafah Shabiya). Google lists it as a Pakistani restaurant with 4.4 stars from 4,392 reviews, open until 12:30 AM.
The prices below are from Royal Gujrat’s own lunch buffet page and its sister pages, read on 28 October 2026. All are plus VAT.
- Lunch buffet: AED 39 Monday to Friday, AED 49 Saturday, in two sittings, 12:30 to 2:30 PM and 3:00 to 5:00 PM
- Dinner buffet: AED 49 (the page’s table lists Monday and Thursday) and AED 59 on Friday, in two sittings, 7:00 to 9:00 PM and 9:30 to 11:30 PM
- Breakfast buffet: AED 35, Saturday and Sunday
- Hi-tea buffet: AED 35, Sunday, 5:00 to 7:00 PM
- Brunch buffet: AED 49, Sunday
The published lunch spread is long: two soups, eleven salad and chaat items (fattoush, Russian salad, chana chaat, pani puri, hummus, mutabbal), mains including mutton karahi, butter chicken, shami kebab, palak paneer, vegetable biryani, chicken Afghani pulao and daal tarka, a BBQ corner of Rajasthani tikka boti, gola seekh kebab and Lahori fish tikka, a Chinese and continental corner, khamiri roti and roghni naan from the tandoor, and firni, gulab jamun, umm ali and jalebi to finish, with Peshawari qehwa. Dinner swaps in mutton yakhni soup, mutton degi qorma, chicken makhni handi, malai boti and Kashmiri chai.

Two things to check before you go. The dinner buffet page is still titled as a Ramadan buffet, so confirm the dinner sitting is running on the night you want. And confirm halal status and alcohol policy directly, because the site does not state either. Calls go to +971 2 562 6002; orders and WhatsApp to +971 56 410 3777, as printed on the site.
Is Barbeque Nation at Dalma Mall worth it?
It is the only place inside Mussafah that pairs a live grill at your table with a buffet counter, and it is the one most people mean when they say “buffet near Dalma Mall”. The catch is that nobody will tell you the price online.
Barbeque Nation’s Dalma Mall outlet is on the ground floor (units GR 003 to GR 005, 19th Street, Musaffah), 11 minutes from Royal Gujrat. The chain’s own UAE site describes the format as “Unlimited veg & non-veg grills served sizzling right at your table” followed by a counter of “30+ dishes” of Indian curries, biryanis, breads and what it calls global favourites, with kulfi and cakes. Hours are lunch 12:00 to 3:00 PM and dinner 6:00 to 11:00 PM. Google gives it 4.5 stars from 1,835 reviews.
On price, the official outlet page prints none, the menu page says printable menus are available per outlet and attaches none, and the deals page, with Dalma Mall selected, says “No deals available at DALMA MALL right now.” Third-party listings put a meal at roughly AED 150 to 180 for two. Treat that as a rough guide and call the chain’s UAE line, +971 4 872 3613, before you go. The UAE site also states “100% Halal Certified”; that is the restaurant’s own claim, and its alcohol policy is not stated, so confirm directly.
For a group that wants the grill-at-the-table experience without leaving Mussafah, it is the only option. For a group that wants a known price, Royal Gujrat wins.
When should you choose Horizon Line at Novotel Abu Dhabi Gate?
When the occasion needs a hotel and you want to know the price before you book. Horizon Line is on the first floor of Novotel Abu Dhabi Gate, 222 Al Maqta Street in Rabdan, at the mainland end of the Maqta bridge, 18 minutes from MBZ City Z19 and 21 minutes from Mukbang Shows Muroor Road.
The hotel’s own offer page prices the dinner buffet at AED 139 per person, served daily from 7:00 PM to 10:30 PM, with unlimited hot dishes, grills, seafood, vegetarian dishes, breads, salads, soups and desserts. It does not say whether drinks are included, and it carries no end date, only “Terms and conditions apply.” It is a licensed hotel venue, so confirm directly what is served and what is included. Bookings go to +971 56 526 3577. See Novotel Abu Dhabi Gate’s dinner buffet offer for the current wording.
It is the most expensive option on this page by a wide margin. Two people at Horizon Line cost about the same as four at Mukbang’s AED 69 window.
Which names does Google show for a Mussafah buffet that nobody prices?
Search Google Maps for a buffet in Shabiya or MBZ City and three more names appear. We could not find a published buffet price for any of them, so they are listed here for completeness, not ranked.
- Dine Out Restaurant, Shabiya. A Kerala restaurant, 4.0 stars from 362 reviews, open until midnight. A Shabiya iftar listing has priced its Ramadan buffet in past years; no everyday buffet price is published.
- Gujarat Restaurant & Sweets, MBZ City. A Gujarati restaurant near The Model School, 4.0 stars from 1,717 reviews, open until 11:50 PM. No buffet or thali price is published online.
- Kadai Kitchen Restaurant, Mussafah industrial area. Near the Al Withaq 4th Street junction, 4.4 stars from 292 reviews, closing at 7 PM, so a lunch place. A social media snippet claims a cheap weekday buffet; we could not verify it anywhere.
If one of these is close to you, phone and ask whether a buffet is running that day and what it costs. If the answer is a number under AED 39, tell us and we will update this page.
Why are there no voucher buffets in Mussafah?
Because every buffet voucher in Abu Dhabi is sold for the island. On 28 October 2026, Cobone’s Abu Dhabi buffet page listed eight deals: Sofitel Abu Dhabi Corniche (international dinner AED 140, a Halloween dinner and a live seafood dinner at AED 235), Royal M Hotel by Gewan (5-star dinner buffet AED 135, floating breakfast AED 299), Bab Al Qasr (lunch and dinner buffet AED 157, an Asian night at AED 174) and Centro Al Manhal by Rotana (breakfast buffet AED 39). Not one is in Mussafah, Shabiya, MBZ City or Dalma Mall.
That matters for two reasons. First, if a search result promises a discounted Mussafah buffet, read the address. Second, it is why Royal Gujrat’s printed AED 39 stands out: in this part of the emirate, a published price is rare.
Best buffet in Mussafah: price comparison
| Venue | Area | Drive from MBZ City Z19 | Price (AED) | Format | Alcohol-free? |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Mukbang Shows Muroor Road | Al Danah, Abu Dhabi | 30 min (31.8 km) | 69 (1–6 PM) / 79 after, + VAT | Unlimited table-grill Korean BBQ, daily | Yes |
| Royal Gujrat | MBZ City Z19, Al Anwar St | In the area | 39 weekday lunch / 49 Sat lunch / 49–59 dinner / 35 breakfast, + VAT | Pakistani buffet counter, timed sittings | Confirm directly |
| Barbeque Nation, Dalma Mall | Musaffah, Dalma Mall ground floor | 11 min | Not published, call | Live table grill + buffet counter | “100% Halal Certified” per its site; alcohol policy not stated |
| Horizon Line, Novotel Abu Dhabi Gate | Rabdan, Al Maqta St | 18 min | 139, dinner only | Hotel dinner buffet, daily 7–10:30 PM | Licensed hotel venue, confirm directly |
Royal Gujrat’s prices are from its own website and exclude VAT, so AED 39 becomes AED 40.95 on the bill. Mukbang’s prices exclude 5% VAT too, so AED 69 becomes AED 72.45. The Novotel figure is the hotel’s published offer price. Drive times are Google Maps estimates on a weekday around midday from Al Anwar Street, MBZ City Z19.
Which of these buffets are halal?
Mukbang Shows is 100% halal: beef, chicken and seafood only, no pork and no alcohol. Barbeque Nation’s UAE site states “100% Halal Certified”, and we quote that as the restaurant’s own claim rather than something we verified. For Royal Gujrat, Horizon Line and the three unpriced venues, confirm halal status and alcohol policy directly with the restaurant before you book. Novotel Abu Dhabi Gate is a licensed hotel, and we do not state what its buffet serves.
How do you get the real price for a buffet in Mussafah?
Add VAT to the restaurant prices. Royal Gujrat prints “+ VAT” beside every number and Mukbang’s menu excludes it. Add 5% before you compare them with the Novotel figure.
Check the day and the sitting. Royal Gujrat’s lunch is AED 39 Monday to Friday and AED 49 on Saturday, in two fixed sittings. Its dinner page lists Monday, Thursday and Friday. Mukbang’s AED 69 runs from 1 PM to 6 PM every day and is AED 79 after. Horizon Line is dinner only.
Call where no price is published. Barbeque Nation Dalma Mall, Dine Out, Gujarat Restaurant & Sweets and Kadai Kitchen do not print a buffet price anywhere we could find. Ask for the per-person rate on the phone before you set off.
Treat the drive as part of the price. Thirty minutes each way to Muroor Road is real. For two people the AED 69 grill is still the most food for the money; for a family of eight who want to stay in Shabiya, Royal Gujrat’s AED 39 wins outright.
What do people search for about a buffet in Mussafah?
Google’s suggestions for this area are lunch, dinner, breakfast, cheap, with price and iftar.
- Lunch: Royal Gujrat at AED 39 on weekdays is the only published lunch buffet in the area. Mukbang’s AED 69 window opens at 1 PM. Barbeque Nation serves lunch from 12 PM at an unpublished price.
- Dinner: Royal Gujrat AED 49 to 59, Mukbang AED 79 after 6 PM, Horizon Line AED 139, Barbeque Nation unpriced.
- Breakfast: Royal Gujrat is the only venue on this page with a published breakfast buffet, AED 35 on Saturday and Sunday.
- Cheap: Royal Gujrat, and nothing else comes close inside the area.
- Iftar: no venue has published Ramadan 2027 iftar prices yet. We will update this page when they appear. For island options in the meantime, see the best affordable buffets in Abu Dhabi.
Where is Mussafah, and why is the buffet map so thin?
Mussafah is the industrial district about 20 km south-east of central Abu Dhabi, with Shabiya and Mussafah Gardens as its residential pockets, ICAD to the south and Mohammed Bin Zayed City to the east (Musaffah on Wikipedia; Bayut’s Mussafah area guide). Dalma Mall faces Shabiya just off the E30. The restaurant scene is cafeterias, Kerala kitchens and Pakistani grills, as Property Finder’s guide to restaurants in Mussafah shows, and that guide names only one venue as buffet-style.
That is why the map is thin. Buffet lines in Abu Dhabi live in island hotels and malls, and vouchers follow them. Mussafah’s version of the format is a Pakistani restaurant with timed sittings and a chain grill house in a mall. If you want the table-grill, cook-it-yourself format at an everyday price, you cross the bridge. For how that format differs from a counter, see our Korean buffet Abu Dhabi guide.
