Abu Dhabi has a real korean buffet abu dhabi option, which Dubai does not: The Taste of Korea at Al Wahda Mall runs a halal-certified buffet line from AED 49, or AED 39 at weekday lunch. Mukbang Shows Muroor Road is the best sit-down unlimited Korean BBQ at AED 69 — but it is not the cheapest, and this guide says so plainly.
TL;DR
- Cheapest, and a genuine buffet line: The Taste of Korea, Al Wahda Mall — AED 49, or AED 39 Mon–Thu 11AM–4PM
- Cheapest table grill: The Skewers, Hamdan Street — AED 59, dropping to AED 39 off-peak
- Best full sit-down grill: Mukbang Shows Muroor Road — AED 69, four tiers, seven meats, eight banchan
- Eating alone? Only the buffet line works. Every unlimited grill tier here needs two people
Is there a real Korean buffet in Abu Dhabi?
Yes. Unlike Dubai, a korean buffet abu dhabi search in the capital leads to an actual self-service buffet line — The Taste of Korea on the third floor of Al Wahda Mall, halal-certified, from AED 49 a head with an AED 39 rate at weekday lunch. The best sit-down unlimited Korean BBQ is Mukbang Shows Muroor Road at AED 69.
That is worth stating up front because Abu Dhabi is unusual: it offers both formats, a few minutes’ drive from each other, at prices that genuinely compete. In most UAE cities “Korean buffet” is a search term with no literal answer behind it. Here there is one.
The two formats are not interchangeable, and the price gap forces an actual decision. A buffet line gives you immediate access to prepared dishes with no cooking and no minimum party size. An unlimited grill puts raw meat on your table so you control the doneness and the pace, and charges more for the service around it.
Mukbang Shows runs two branches in the capital, both in Al Danah, Zone 1: Muroor Road and Electra Street. Both are 100% halal, beef and chicken only, with no pork anywhere on the menu, and both publish four named tiers rather than a vague “unlimited” price. That transparency matters when you are comparing against two cheaper venues.
What is the difference between a Korean buffet and unlimited Korean BBQ?
A Korean buffet is self-service: prepared dishes sit out in trays and you help yourself as often as you like. Unlimited Korean BBQ is ordered from a menu in rounds and cooked by you on a grill built into your table, so the meat arrives raw.
What the grill format gains you. The meat is only as old as the last thirty seconds, rather than having sat under a lamp since service opened. There is no queue and no walking back and forth with a plate. The eight banchan, plus rice and soup, are brought to the table and refilled free on request.
What it costs you, honestly. No dessert counter. No salad bar. You do the cooking. And there is a minimum of two people at Mukbang Shows, so a solo diner cannot order any tier at all — that alone decides the question for a lot of people. There is also a leftover charge, AED 60, which exists because nothing is self-serve and the kitchen is sending out real portions of raw meat on trust.
The rough rule that falls out of this: the buffet line suits a quick lunch or a solo meal, and the grill suits a dinner you want to last. The cheapest grill price in the capital is AED 39, in The Skewers’ off-peak window; standard dinner pricing starts at AED 59 there and AED 69 at Mukbang Shows.

Where can you eat a Korean buffet in Abu Dhabi?
1. Mukbang Shows — Muroor Road
Ranked first for the full sit-down unlimited Korean BBQ experience — with the price concession stated openly: The Taste of Korea and The Skewers both undercut it. The Gangnam tier is AED 69 a head and includes seven kinds of BBQ meat, eight banchan, two gimbap, soup and rice, with the banchan refilled free on request. Staff bring the raw beef and chicken to the table in rounds and you grill it yourself. It is at 547 Sultan Bin Zayed The First St in Al Danah, Zone 1, on +971-50-158-9433, with a second branch on Electra Street behind Sun and Sand Sports. Everything is 100% halal — beef and chicken only, no pork, no alcohol.
The honest limitation: it is not the cheapest and it is not a buffet. There is no counter, no trays, no self-service and no dessert station; dessert is a paid extra (Bingsu AED 37). The two-person minimum locks out solo diners entirely, and the AED 60 leftover charge is real.
What the extra AED 20 over the mall buffet actually buys is a restaurant rather than a food-court counter, four clearly published tiers, and a deep à la carte menu sitting behind the unlimited deal — Cheese Dakgalbi AED 89, Korean Fried Chicken AED 82 sharing, Budae Jjigae AED 99, Jjampong AED 99 sharing, Bibimbap AED 53–62, and premium beef up to Wagyu AED 115 and Rib Eye AED 119. If price alone decides your night, go to Al Wahda Mall instead — that is the honest answer.
2. The Taste of Korea (TOK) — the only real buffet line
This is the genuine article and the thing Dubai has no equivalent of: an actual eat-all-you-can Korean buffet line, halal-certified, on the third floor of Al Wahda Mall in the Gourmet Express food court. From AED 49 a head, with an AED 39 rate Monday to Thursday between 11AM and 4PM, and an AED 79 tier that adds unlimited Korean BBQ on top of the line. You serve yourself the prepared dishes — kimchi, pickled vegetables, steamed rice, japchae and other traditional dishes. At AED 49 it is the cheapest Korean all-you-can-eat in the capital, and at AED 39 it is the cheapest Korean meal of any kind here that includes refills.
Caveat: it is a food-court unit inside a shopping mall rather than a restaurant with its own room, so it reads as a refuel rather than an evening out. The cheapest rates are tied to specific days and hours, so confirm the current price and timing before you travel across town for it.
3. The Skewers — the cheapest table grill
Unlimited Korean BBQ from AED 59 a head on Hamdan Street, behind Emax, with beef, chicken or seafood and a hotpot option alongside the grill. The rate drops to AED 39 between 11AM and 4PM, and again during a late happy hour that keeps the grill running well after midnight — which makes it one of the very few Korean kitchens in the capital still cooking at that hour. Every table has a built-in grill and banchan comes alongside.
Caveat: the AED 39 rate is confined to those windows, and the standard price applies at normal dinner time. Prices and windows move around between listings for this one, so confirm directly before you go, and the published menu is narrower than a four-tier operation.
The rest of Abu Dhabi’s Korean scene has no buffet at all
Worth knowing so you do not waste a journey. DAK Korean Chicken on Al Reem Island is the fried chicken specialist, halal at source, roughly AED 41–59 a dish — no grill, no refills. Seoul Street, also Al Reem, is the tteokbokki specialist and stays à la carte. Madang at Holiday Inn Al Sa’adah and Al Ghazal serves eleven fried chicken variants and the only confirmed dolsot bibimbap in the capital, but publishes no dish prices and runs no unlimited format.
Hankook in Al Nahyan is around AED 50 a dish with portions reviewers say feed three, which genuinely undercuts an unlimited tier on a night when nobody plans to eat much grilled meat. Korean Bowl in Al Danah follows the same à la carte pattern. None of them answers this search directly.

What does a Korean buffet cost in Abu Dhabi?
Between AED 39 and AED 129 a head. Mukbang Shows is not the cheapest Korean all-you-can-eat in Abu Dhabi and does not claim to be.
| Venue | Area | Per person (AED) | Format | Halal | Standout |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| The Taste of Korea | 3rd Floor, Al Wahda Mall | 39–79 | Buffet line, optional BBQ | Halal-certified | AED 39 Mon–Thu lunch |
| The Skewers | Hamdan Street | 39–59 | Unlimited table grill | Confirm directly | AED 39 off-peak |
| Mukbang Shows Muroor Rd | Al Danah, Zone 1 | 69–129 | Unlimited table grill | 100% halal, beef & chicken | Gangnam AED 69 |
| Mukbang Shows Electra St | Al Danah, Zone 1 | 69–129 | Unlimited table grill | 100% halal, beef & chicken | Same four tiers |
Mukbang’s four tiers are identical at both Abu Dhabi branches: Gangnam AED 69, Daegu AED 89, Jeju AED 99, Bukchon Hanok AED 129. Every tier carries the same seven kinds of BBQ meat, eight banchan, two gimbap, soup and rice — the higher tiers upgrade the cuts, not the quantity. Minimum two people, AED 60 leftover charge.
Outside the tier: Unlimited Drinks AED 18, bubble tea AED 20–24, mocktails AED 24, fresh juices AED 32, Korean tea AED 10–14. Dessert is Bingsu AED 37 or Melona ice cream AED 17. The full list is on the Mukbang Shows menu, and the tier-by-tier breakdown is in our guide to what Korean BBQ actually costs in Abu Dhabi.
How does a Korean buffet compare to Abu Dhabi’s other buffets?
The entire Korean field in the capital sits between AED 39 and AED 79, which lands under nearly every hotel buffet in the city. But there is one comparison that should stop you short: Barbeque Nation is two floors below The Taste of Korea in the very same mall, at AED 64–85 plus tax, and it gives you a grill at the table and a full buffet counter.
| Venue | Area | Price (AED) | What you get |
|---|---|---|---|
| The Foundry | Southern Sun Abu Dhabi, Al Mina St | 65 breakfast | Cheapest hotel buffet here |
| Barbeque Nation | Ground Floor, Al Wahda Mall | 64–85 + tax | Table grill plus a full buffet counter |
| Sambusek | Rosewood, Al Maryah Island | 120 | Lebanese hotel buffet |
| Sofra BLD | Shangri La, Qaryat Al Beri | 142–261 | Large international spread |
| Texas de Brazil | Yas Mall, Yas Island | 146–184 | Churrascaria plus salad bar |
| The Terrace on the Corniche | St. Regis Abu Dhabi | 150–275 | Corniche-front hotel buffet |
| Rosewater | Jumeirah at Etihad Towers | 175–260 | Award-winning, live cooking stations |
Read the two tables together and the verdict is clear enough. Korean loses on breadth. A hotel spread gives you live stations, salads, several cuisines and a dessert section; the Korean venues give you Korean food and a grill. You will not find pasta, sushi or an international dessert counter at any of them. Barbeque Nation, at AED 64–85 plus tax, beats every Korean option in the city on sheer variety per dirham, and it is in the same building as the cheapest one.
Korean wins on cost and on focus. Against a AED 184 churrascaria or a AED 260 hotel dinner, AED 49 for a Korean buffet line or AED 69 for seven kinds of marinated beef and chicken grilled in front of you is a lot of dinner for the money — typically AED 50–150 a head less than a hotel buffet. Which is better value, the buffet line or the grill?
The buffet line wins on price, on solo dining, and on the variety of prepared Korean dishes. The grill wins on meat quality and on being an actual evening rather than a refuel.
Go to the buffet line if you are eating alone, or it is lunchtime, or the budget is the whole point. AED 39 to AED 49 at The Taste of Korea, no minimum party size, no cooking, and you are out quickly. Al Wahda Mall’s store listing for The Taste of Korea has the current details.
Go to the grill if there are two or more of you and you want dinner to last more than half an hour. Meat reaches you raw and goes on the fire in front of you, the banchan come back refilled when you ask, and the meal stretches. Between the two grills, The Skewers is AED 10 cheaper at standard price and much cheaper if you can hit the off-peak window; Mukbang Shows has the four published tiers, the eight-banchan spread and the deeper à la carte menu behind it.

What is unlimited Korean BBQ, and what arrives at the table? (고기구이)
Unlimited Korean BBQ is built on 고기구이 (gogi-gui, “meat grilling”): raw marinated or plain meat cooked by the diners on a grill set into the table, then wrapped in lettuce with rice, ssamjang and banchan.
반찬 (banchan) are the small shared side dishes — kimchi, seasoned spinach, bean sprouts, pickled radish and so on. They arrive without being ordered and are refilled free on request, which is the single most buffet-like part of the format and the reason people call it a buffet in the first place. In Korea the model is called 무한리필 (muhan refill, “unlimited refill”) rather than a buffet, which describes an order-to-the-table grill far more accurately than the English word does. One practical note that applies to every tabletop grill: it produces smoke, and clothes tend to pick up a light barbecue smell over a long session.
Which part of Abu Dhabi should you go to?
Al Danah and Zone 1 is essentially the whole cluster. Mukbang Shows Muroor Road and Mukbang Shows Electra Street are both in Al Danah. The Taste of Korea is on the third floor of Al Wahda Mall, and The Skewers is on Hamdan Street behind Emax. All four are a short drive from each other, which makes this one of the easier food comparisons to actually carry out — you can try the buffet line one visit and the grill the next without crossing the city.
Abu Dhabi has no metro. Every venue in this guide is reached by car, taxi or bus, and that is worth planning around if you are coming from Yas Island, Al Reem or Saadiyat rather than the centre.
Time of day matters more than the exact address once you are in this zone. The weekday lunch windows are what unlock the AED 39 rates at both The Taste of Korea and The Skewers; outside them, you are paying AED 49 and AED 59 respectively.
Is a Korean buffet in Abu Dhabi halal?
For the two venues that matter most, yes, and both say so publicly. The Taste of Korea states halal certification on its own site. Mukbang Shows is 100% halal — beef and chicken only, no pork, no samgyeopsal, and no alcohol served at either Abu Dhabi branch. The Skewers does not publish a halal statement in the listings we checked, so confirm that one directly if it matters to you. For the non-Korean buffets in the comparison table, check each venue individually — they appear here purely as price context.
The practical rule: if halal status is non-negotiable, Mukbang Shows and The Taste of Korea are the two that publish it. The price and format differences between them still apply.
Seven practical tips
- Eating alone? Go to the buffet line. Mukbang Shows and the grill venues run a two-person minimum on every unlimited tier.
- Time your visit for the AED 39 rates. The Taste of Korea’s cheap rate runs Monday to Thursday, 11AM to 4PM. The Skewers has an 11AM–4PM window plus a late happy hour.
- Order in rounds. The AED 60 leftover charge exists for tables that order everything at once and cannot finish it.
- Ask for banchan refills. They are free and plenty of tables never ask.
- Start on the Gangnam tier. At AED 69 it carries the same seven meats and eight banchan as the tiers above it; the upgrades change the cuts, not the volume.
- Use the rice and soup. They come with every tier and they take the edge off, which is the simplest way to avoid over-ordering meat.
- Bringing children? No children’s rate is published at any of these venues — ask when you book.
