Right now, the only walk-in counters in the capital we could verify are the two Mukbang Shows branches. Both carry Chef Nouel Catis’s Dubai Chewy Cookie at AED 40 a box. For delivery, Munchies takes pre-orders in Abu Dhabi, and Casa de Flores ships from Dubai, but with a big minimum order.

Most of the UAE’s Dubai chewy cookie sellers are in Dubai. Gulf News’ roundup of where to find the cookie in the UAE lists Munchies as the Abu Dhabi option. Everything else on its list is in Dubai or Ajman. That is why a counter in Al Danah matters if you live in the capital.

Hours are Monday to Thursday 1PM–1AM, and Friday to Sunday 12PM–1AM. That late close is handy if you are out after dinner and want something to take home.

Mukbang Shows Electra is on Zayed The First Street, behind Sun and Sand Sports, also in Al Danah, Zone 1. Phone +971-2-564-0446. It sells the same Chef Nouel Catis box at AED 40, with the same hours: 1PM–1AM Monday to Thursday, 12PM–1AM Friday to Sunday.

Pick Electra or Muroor based on which side of Al Danah you are already on. Both are central, and the cookie and the price are identical. The same caveat applies: one box, no singles, no flavour choice.

3. Munchies: Abu Dhabi cloud kitchen

Munchies is an Abu Dhabi cloud kitchen that Gulf News lists as a Dubai chewy cookie seller. You order on Instagram or WhatsApp. No price is published, and there is no walk-in counter.

It is the right call if you want delivery inside Abu Dhabi and can plan a day ahead. It is the wrong call if you want a cookie in the next hour.

4. Casa de Flores: delivery from Dubai, with a big minimum

Casa de Flores sells a Dubai chewy cookie box of 4 for AED 65, each piece around 60 g. It is on Talabat, Deliveroo, Keeta, Careem and Noon, and it delivers across the UAE.

The catch for Abu Dhabi is real. Orders to Abu Dhabi need a AED 200 minimum plus a AED 50 delivery fee. That makes sense for a big gift order, but not for one box.

Also worth knowing: the Dubai options

If you are heading to Dubai anyway, Gato Cake Studio & Cafe sells single Dubai chewy cookies for AED 29 at Al Mina Road and Creek Beach, according to the Korea Herald. Mukbang Shows also has three Dubai counters: JBR, DWTC (Love Mukbang) and Deira.

In Abu Dhabi itself, the two Mukbang counters are the simplest route: fixed price, walk-in, open late. Delivery works, but you pay for the convenience or wait a day.

What is a Dubai chewy cookie?

A Dubai chewy cookie is a small ball of chewy marshmallow-based dough filled with the Dubai chocolate filling, pistachio cream and toasted kataifi, then rolled in cocoa. It eats like a rice cake on the outside and like kunafa in the middle.

It is Korean. In Korea it is called 두바이 쫀득쿠키 (du-bai jjon-deuk ku-ki), nicknamed 두쫀쿠, “dujjonku”. The Korea Herald’s explainer describes a texture closer to a rice cake than a regular cookie, which is why people also call it a mochi cookie.

The first one is credited to Monte Cookie, a bakery in Gimpo founded in August 2024. It went viral after IVE’s Jang Won-young posted one on Instagram in September 2025. Korean chains followed. CU sold more than 1.8 million Dubai-style chewy rice cakes after an October launch, Paris Baguette Korea sells Dubai chewy balls and tarts, and Starbucks Korea launched a Dubai Chewy Roll on 30 January 2026.

So the cookie is a Dubai idea, reinvented in Korea, and now sold back in the UAE.

Dubai chewy cookie vs Dubai chocolate: which should you buy?

Buy the cookie if you want a single portion and a chewy texture. Buy the bar if you want to share and like a chocolate snap. The filling is the same idea in both: pistachio cream with crisp kataifi. Only the shell changes.

• Shell: the bar uses milk chocolate. The cookie uses a soft, cocoa-dusted marshmallow-style dough.
• Bite: the bar snaps, then crunches. The cookie stretches, then crunches.
• Portion: a bar is a slab to break up. A cookie is one 40–60 g piece.
• Richness: people who found Dubai chocolate too sweet to finish often prefer the cookie, because there is less chocolate.

In Abu Dhabi, the cookie is the easier one to find at a walk-in counter at a fixed price. Chef Nouel Catis’s own “Abu Dhabi Chocolate” bar is sold through his Sna’ap brand, according to The National.

Why does a Korean BBQ restaurant sell a Dubai cookie?

Because the cookie is Korean. The chewy version was invented in Korea and went viral there before it came back to the UAE, so it fits on a Korean menu. Mukbang Shows already ends meals with Korean desserts like bingsu, the shaved milk-ice dessert, and a take-home box is a natural add-on after the grill.

The practical upside for Abu Dhabi residents is opening hours. Most dessert cafés close earlier. A Korean BBQ restaurant that is open till 1AM every night means you can pick up a box after dinner, after the gym, or on the way home from the airport.

Who is Chef Nouel Catis?

Chef Nouel Catis (Nouel Catis Omamalin) is a Filipino pastry chef and the co-creator of Dubai chocolate. Wikipedia credits him and Sarah Hamouda with developing the original bar in 2021 for FIX Dessert Chocolatier.

The Abu Dhabi connection runs deeper than the cookie. The National reports that he was an in-flight chef at Etihad, worked at Burj Al Arab in the early 2000s, launched his own brand, Sna’ap, in 2024, and created an “Abu Dhabi Chocolate” bar with cardamom, saffron, tahina and date syrup.

Both are central, and both stay open until 1AM every night. For a quick counter pickup, a taxi dropping you at the door is usually the fastest way in the evening. If you are driving, have a passenger run in while you wait.

Which one should you pick? Whichever is closer to where you already are. Muroor and Electra sell the same Chef Nouel Catis box at the same AED 40 price, with the same late hours, so there is no reason to cross town for one over the other.
